UPDATE - tested the Short Stop with a .6 ohm coil and 3000 mah Panasonic 18650 unprotected fresh off the charger indicating 4.2 volts by checking with my SID. There was no noticeable heating up or loss of power, had to be over six amps. Not impressed even a little bit. Don't know about dead shorts or over 10 amps, but it didn't do squat at 6+ amps. Haven't tested this by shorting a battery, likely won't. The advertising led me to believe that this device was of a protective nature, but the disclaimer shipped with it was a bummer.
I'm thinking maybe the fuses that have to be replaced if I continue to get into unprotected batteries on the mechs.
